LegoLand!

Me in LegolandLegoland creations!

Legoland In addition to the large Camp Snoopy in the center of the mall, there is a LegoLand as well, and it was pretty damn cool. Although being mostly a store for every kind of lego you would ever want, the area looked to be built out of legos, in wonderful bright colors.  They had a huge play area where kids (and adults too, I suppose) could just sit and play with legos and create to their hearts desire.  Finally, they have these HUGE Lego models of all sorts of different things, including a working Lego clock!  Sadly, the clock was too large to get a good picture of.  Of course, I had to take lots of pictures of as much of the rest of legos as I could, given that my darling husband Wiley is the biggest adult Lego nut on the planet

All around the Legoland area are what can only be described as Lego sculptures. They are so elaborate and intricate that you almost wonder if they are really just cast plastic made to look like they're made out of Lego. But, I have it on good authority (that would be Wiley again), that they are usually actually made out of real Lego. Obviously, I didn't try to pry them apart there on the store floor.

This Triceratops was really cool, and it's head actually moved up and down!  Note the ubiquitous Gap store in the background, just proving that there is no escape.  Also note the baby Triceratops in the right corner.

These little guys were my favorite! Newly hatched!

Look! Babies!

And this guy just had to be photographed for Wiley too, since he loves motorcycles, possibly even more than he loves legos.  He was pretty neat, hung from the ceiling in mid-jump.

Motorcycle!

Well, after taking in Camp Snoopy, Legoland and even a little shopping, we'd had enough of the mall (and I'm ashamed to say how much time we spent there), it was time for us to hit the road.
